From Matt M

I noticed that new 6.5x14 Blackrolites are only $299 at Explorers. Plus they have the black and white badge and not the green and olive.

I was there today. I musta overlooked them.

I have a Blue/Olive badge Acrolite here that belongs to a friend of mine. It is in pretty nice shape. The serial number so far suggests late 70's. It isn't powder coated.

I was just looking on the eeeeBay and saw some decent looking ones for $100 and less.

I want to buy this drum from my friend and need to come up with a fair price.

What do you guys suggest?

thanks and 73

I was thinking $150 until I saw the lower prices on eeeBay over the weekend.

I suppose I will put a Coated Ambassador on it. It has an Ambassador Suede on it now, and the sound is not inspiring. I know it is capable of sounding a lot better. I am open to other suggestions for a batter head.

Thanks
