About 3 years... Falling Do
Sorry man, I couldn't resist... I have a '63 Acrolite that I have had sitting on a shelf for at least 5 years.. I will be interested to hear what the Luddy experts say.

The '67 would most likely have a P-83 throw-off while the '70 would have the P-85. The butt plate on the '67 would have the "script Ludwig" engraving and the '70 would have the block letter Ludwig engraving.
those two drums should sound much alike. by 67 they had pretty much moved into steel hoops which the 70 should also have.

I have a 1970 Acrolite. As a player drum, my only problem with it is with the muffler. Since I rarely use internal mufflers, and mine occasionally rattles, I'd prefer the baseball bat muffler.
Oh yes the strianer is different
but would one sound better than the other , Im leaning on no
