Ludwig 90th Anniversary Top Hat Jazz set

Loading...

Ok, Long story short, I owned this set once before and sold it about 4 years ago for personal reasons. I regretted it. So, I got a phone call informing me that the set was once again for sale, so I bought it back. It is a 1967 Ludwig Jazzette set that the original owner had special ordered the 3 X 13 snare drum with it. The other drum sizes are the standard 8 X 12, 14 X 14 and 12 X 18. The drums original finish was in sad shape, so the owner had Jack Lawton cover these drums with the 90th Anniversary Top Hat wrap. The drums now have the 90th Anniversary oval badges, special thanks to a friend that works at Ludwig. It previously had newer, large Keystone badges which I thought looked out of place on these drums. I will be playing these daily, so I am using clear Evans heads all the way around, with the exception of the front bass drum head. Let me know what you think!

I added another pic. It's time to tune em' and play em'!

I think it`s very cool that the diagonal rows line up with the inlay. Not everyone does that !i

Absolutely beautiful! Glad you got them back. Hang onto them! The Top Hat N Cane wrap is just too cool and I've no doubt you'll be getting lots of compliments and inquires when you play!

Too funny. That is a good eye, but here they are in code. As long as there is a railing it is ok. The railing is on the other side not in the picture...Laughing H
