I took out of storage my old Ludwig white marine pearl set that i bought used in 1979 and played when i was a kid. now its time to restore and hand off to my son. Just trying to get idea on year and what not to do during restoration. all hardware is in nice shape some seams are showing on 2 of the drums. Thanks

Look inside...

Lots of times there is a rubber stamp date or paper tag with dates..

I'm guessing early 70's....

Pointy B&O badges = early to mid 70's.

Clear 3-ply maple shells = some of the best sounding drums Ludwig ever manufactured. Teach your boy how to respect them and care for them. If he turns into a drummer down the line, the more he learns about what constitutes a quality set of drums, the more he will grow to appreciate the really great gift the old man laid on him.

Welcome to VDF...

Too many great drums to list here!
