I remember that the PTS drums sounded good, when they came out. Early 80's if I remember correctly. They looked really cheesy, though!

Although they don't seem to make PTS kits anymore, the latest Remo drums really look and sound like winners. I'd love a set of their new bepop kit like in this video:
