Very interesting.....plastic lugs? Should I stay away from this drum? I intend it to be a players drum. Would the plastic lugs hold up for high tuning? Ill have to think about this. Thanks for the input on this drum.

You do not want this drum except as a wall hanger. It will not perform at any level. This was a nail in the coffin disaster for Rogers, and probably the primary reason CBS pulled the plug on Rogers in 1984. They lost millions on this mess. The plastic lugs were a fantastic cheap alternative on entry level drums. The design called for a specific plastic to be used, very durable, very strong. Someone higher up decided if that plastic would work, this cheaper would work better..... it did not. Drums were broken in the boxes before they were even set up at the stores. The return rate was extremely high. The loss rate was 100%.
