April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

For 12/8 feel just think 3/2 or 2/3 clave'. ala Bo Diddly; boom,boom,boom,---boom,boom. Play a clave on the bass drum and give the groove a real New Orleans second-line feel. Fun stuff to play. If you want to get into that 12/8 feel, listen to some Stanton Moore/Johnny Vidocovich, they live in 12/8.
Have a good time... jams are pure fun, no pressure.
