I have this ludwig 70's snare with an ugly grey finish but it sounds great. I am wondering if this is an acrolite? thanks.

thats an acro for sure. it may also be an early 80's model with that finish and the rounded corner badge.

thanks for the quick replies guys! I had never seen any acrolites with this finish online and ebay and such. Perhaps it was a short lived finish? If that is the case I can see why it is not all that appealing.

it was the last of the gray finishes before they switched to the black galaxy finish acrolites.
