Hi

I am new to this forum, and having a look at other posts, I thought this may be a good place to find some information.

I had a Premier drumkit when I was younger, which I used, unfortunately the kit has been sat in the basement for several years now and I think it would be best going to someone who may get more use out of the drums and equipment.

Would someone know if I have the correct information for the Snare Drum, and what price I could place on the item (£GBP)?

At the moment I have looked and wiped over the Snare Drum:

It is a Premier, I think the snare may be approx. 1963 - Premier Royal Ace Snare Drum with Floating Strainer (double 10). It is 5 1/2 x 14". There are 8 lugs. The bottom drumhead is an everplay.

I also have the following which I think is the original set:

a bass drum, foot pedal, tom tom (8 x 12"), floor tom, hi-hat Zyn (Made In England) 14" cymbals and stand (which I think is the original). (Images and info will be posted soon).

I have other drums and kit, which I will post at a later date.

Would I be best selling all items individually or as a set for the best price?

Its always best to move the drums as a set if you wish to sell them, there isnt much call for vintage odd drums anymore, except on evilbay - you might get a few pennies from there after fees. The snare is worth about £100 tops.

What type of price would I be looking at for a set? I know the small tom and bass have a slight rip in the wrap.

£100 tops for a 14x 5.5 Royal Ace? You say that with such smug certitude, but, assuming it to be a fine, intact specimen, I believe there are people with knowledge and experience who would double your estimate. It might bring even more than £200 on a good day!

I'm with Royal Ace on this Royal Ace.....

Assuming good+ condition $300 to $400 bucks.

If you could post some pics of the entire outfit, it would help immensely.

For the collectors around here, separating the set and selling individual pieces is a no no.

There is a lot of knowledge to be gained on Premier drums from some of the members on this forum.

Be patient, and I'm sure some more of them will chime in here.
