I caught the vintage drum fever

Howdy,

Just joined today. I got the vintage drum fever now. Started playing in the late 60's, so I remember when vintage stuff was new, not vintage!! Started with an E.W. Kent set, then moved on to a Slingerland set. Course I sold them off some years ago...if I only knew. But a few months ago I purchased my first vintage drum. A 1958 red sparkle Kent snare drum. It still has the original E.W. Kent stamped heads on the top and bottom!. And today I ordered a 4 piece Ludwig Standard set from 1968 in Avocado Strata. Can't wait till it arrives. I'm like a kid at Christmas! I'll keep you posted on the arrival. Any other Ludwig Standard owners out there?

Roger that! I'm not sure how to post pics to this site yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out in the next day or so. I'll keep rockin till I drop! LOL

lol . i bet , keep up the sickness mike your the king at it and remember that snare drum rehab is quitter's . now you will have to excuse me while i go looking down some dark alley for some black beauties . all the best mike .
