I, like so many other members lately, have become disillusioned with a fellow member who simply has not lived up to our trust and expectations. We confide in this seller, send out our money and are rewarded with nothing in return. Today, a completely opposite scenario unfolded. A gentleman to whom I had given a few vintage parts that were of no use to me, arrived at our house with an immaculate Star snare in blue sparkle. It was beautiful!!! "How much would you take, Tom?" " "Nothing! My pleasure! I thank you for everything!" There are still good people out there!! This is a good forum. This is how it should be!! Right, John? Right, Rene? Right to all others with whom I have been in contact lately?

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.

'Trust' -is- a Big Deal! I work at earning it from the people I interact with. There's a lot of good guys, fair traders on this forum. Just like anywhere else in life, you just have to take the time to find out who can be trusted, and who should not. I've had nothing but positive experiences in my trading/buying/selling with members of this forum.

My old man used to say, "There's always a Joker in the deck!" Watch out for a few 'clowns' and you'll be fine. It's a shame that some lessons have to be learned the hard way.

Salty - You're one of the good ones... keep in there wailin'.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

True...but not always. As life or the world is, there are many "ugly" humans on this planet...most here are good. Funny though, it sucks when you are even trying to say something positive or nice on this forum, some may even find the time to make fun of that. I have even had problems with this man in question, but won't get into details.....no use piling on him at this point....that would be too easy...:(

Great to hear some good karma came your way Brian!! I have had a sour taste in my mouth for a bit so a taste of solid humanity is nice to hear about.

No shame in passing on a word of gratitude or appreciation. I believe an unsaid compliment is an insult.

It's too Bad that there a very small few bad apples in vdf that do biz with out a care in the world for quality customer satifaction or ever bother trying to build a good solid positive reputation for them selves , those guy's aren't percussion dealers or drum lovers , they are scammers and bottom feeders that sell junk!. It's a good thing that there's more positive member's here on vdf than bad ones , just to name them all would be imposible VDF#1 BAR NONE , Thanks Brian and to all i have done biz with.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
