It says all original but the faceplate on the strainer has Ludwig script... shouldn't this be a WFL plate?

Yes, it should. However the top (lever) portion of the throw is a WFL, so I'll guess that the bottom sliding section was replaced. Granted Ludwig did some mixing & matching in their day, but I highly doubt they would have mixed throw-off parts.

BTW, here's mine. :)

That is a beautiful drum, bermuda. Yeah, too bad the auction was ended. It ****es off bidders when sellers do that. Do it once too often and people stop bidding on your items.

And when people stop bidding, someone ends up with a great deal! :)

King's Music did it twice to me in 1 month. I'll never bid on another one of their auctions and I crossed them off my Xmas card listx-mas1

Hey Bermuda, I have a WFL Pioneer with that same throw as on your drum, it is a bit finicky if the snares are tight when turning them on. Any suggestions you can give?

Yep! I was bidding on it and had it pulled without explanation. I was not the current high bidder at the time, but..WTF!!! Out bid me in a fair auction. This bs has happened to me several times now. I do not buy from those sellers who pull this stunt! I strongly suspect the secret buyers are not only suckering the stupid seller, but probably using shady business practices to help pay for it(ie...tax write-offs,"business"expenses...)

These "collectors" most likey cheat ,lie and decieve their way thru life and enjoy it. Oh, while I'm at it: I'd love to meet one of these jerks in person...
