Hi all,

I am about to buy a vintage Premier drum, but i'm having difficulty identifying this kit. Can someone help me out with this kit?

The sizes are 20" Bassdrum and 12" 14" 16" Toms

The tom mounting system looks weird, so i dont know if its original or not...

Mounts are original...except for the big "O" tighteners on the BD mount....

Those are pre 1968......going by the badges....

the bd Has factory internal mufflers...putting it closer to pre 1964....

Better grab if price is right!Jump For Joy

Looks like it's a 303 outfit.

They do not show the 303 in the 1963 catalog...

Anyone have the 1965 handy?

The 1970 was the earliest catalog I could find that shows a 5 piece set (the 303). I'm sure people ordered 5 piece sets prior to that but they didn't seem to be cataloged by Premier, at least not in the 60,63, or 65 catalogs I have scans of.

Thanks for the info and for helping!

The price is about 335 euro.

There are some lugs missing (3 or 4), the big "O" thighteners are not original to the drum, the wrap has a few little flaws, but is overall ok.

Is this drumset worth the money, or should i wait for a better catch?

Those look just wonderful~! Premier in WMP is just so classy looking. Bobby Columby from BS&T played a set much like that. Always a favorite of mine. The price (like $400+ usa) seems not bad but I'm no expert. Myself I'd be tickled to find and buy those for that! Good luck!

Yes,that is a very fair price...

That is a OLD set!

You say lugs are missing...I think you mean tension rods......those are very easy to find......

Grab.....

Ps...I very seldom see Prem 20" BD's here in the US....

almost every vintage kit is a 22".......

That's all the more reason to get them.....

That WMP aged looks really nice and mellow. Those are nice drums. What are those metal parts on the picture left side of the bass drum? Looks like some metal parts or something ? Muffler knobs ?
