Hello im new here, but i used to check this forum to see vintage things and cool things posted here. You guys do an awesome job always.

First of all i must apologize for my bad english. Ill try my best.

I found a vintage snare drum from '59 more or less. And i cant see any clue of the brand, year or value. Ill post some photos that seller sended to me.

I hope i am uploading the images well. Let me know if i didnt.

As you can see on the last one there a sticker on the case with a date. This is the only clear info. The seller told me that the snare has no badge or anything similiar. I think is 14x7. And the strainer looks patched up. I cant find any similar strainer on the internet or forum.

I think it isnt worth buying it but you guys always doing a great job and had more experience in those things. I dont really want to miss a great snare drum in ignorance of the value.

Thank you very much for your time. And sorry again for my english.

That`s most likely a Meazzi snare.

First your snare, second a known Meazzi Holliwood.

Is this the original strainer? It looks like he tried to fix something broken.

He is selling the snare for 200(euros). I think thats too much.

That`s going to take some research, Meazzi also produced HIPercussion,..that`s a lot of different type of electronic and acoustic kits with things like bass treble and volume on them plus so many one off mechanisms.

Look at this examples of Meazzi HIPercussion stuff, Anything is possible.

Better close ups of the throw will help.

That snare will need new heads, they`re stretched to the top of the lugs.
