Help me identify Pearl Drum set Last viewed: 3 days ago

Likely from mid 80's. Badges say only "Maple Shells" and made in USA. If in good shape what can I ask for entire kit plus cymbals?

Anytime I value a kit I ask for certain information -all of the drum sizes, if any hardware is included and the sizes and type of each cymbal.

Then I offer some basic selling advice on kits. It is "generally" accepted that you will achieve a higher dollar amount if you split the three groups up.

Remember, this is a general rule for a kit like this and does not apply to historical, original or rare complete kits.

As drummers we prefer our cymbal sound, use hardware we like and in many cases a snare drum we consider our main drum. I have in fact purchased complete sets, to sell everything I did not want just to keep the drums I did want.

Selling a complete kit like this kit, is great for the beginner or intermediate player that wants to upgrade from where they are with their current drum set.

Any prospective buyer will also look at new drums online and see all kinds of new complete kits in that price range. They are not looking at the set as collectible or unique, just a complete drum set to start playing.

I ask the above earlier questions, just in case the seller has some rare cymbal or higher end hardware that is not in the photos or part of the valuation.

A good thing to do when selling drums is together all of the details, take photos of the different groups of items, document all of the sizes and then do some research on eBay's completed listings for a rough guide.

For all we know, you could have a cool snare drum hiding behind those drums and worth more then the drum set itself.

All (original) hardware included. Pearl super hoop snare "free floating system" made in Japan. I'm unsure of the drum sizes. Included are Zildjian 14" new beat high hats a Sabian b8 pro 12" splash and a no name ride.
