I inherited this very old drum set. I opened up the bass drum and it was painted black- the snare is painted black inside as well. There's no brand marking anywhere to be found. Would love any info or ideas! Thanks. I can upload more photos soon, just getting a lot of error messages at the moment. Perhaps this one photo will get some leads?

they are rogers, actualy they are gretsch shell but they are rogers

I was going to guess that they are Walberg and Auge. Gretsch and Rogers parts were very commonly used to make Walberg and Auge drums. W&A older drums have black painted interiors.
No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I hope someone can ID the lugs.
Mike, do you know anything about those flanged cymbals? I have a 15" Zildjian that looks just like the top cymbal on RG's hi hat pair.
I love it, use it as a high crash, but I've never been able to pin down just what it is. I thought it might be half of a marching pair or something, but I can't find 15" marching cymbals in any Zildjian catalog.

zildjian made flanged hi hats for many years. the older catalogs show them as the bottom hat being flanged and later both hats would be flanged. it allowed more surface contact for the two cymbals together. usually pretty desirable by zildjian enthusiasts.

Yes- those are zildjian, I don't believe the other hat is flanged, I use the flanged on the top. Thanks everyone for helping ID the drums, I'll definitely be reading up on W & A drums.
