Help identifying some Ludwig snares Last viewed: 5 days ago

Loading...

I'm looking for some help with identifying some old snares. Here are the ones I need help with.

First is a ludwig chrome with black and white badge #800448. I think it's a rocker?

Second I think is a 1971 acrolite #861304 Can anyone confirm that for me?

Third is a ludwig chrome #3441188

Fourth is another black and white badge ludwig #6197740

Last is another ludwig #209931

Any help would be great. I'm helping a new band director at a school. He inherited a lot of drums (as you can see). We are just trying to figure what they might be worth. Hoping to maybe sell some and use the money to buy other instruments he needs. Thanks.

the 6.5 depth with the black/white badge is a steel shell import Ludwig.

the acrolite does appear to be a 71 model.

the 5" depth black and white badge is probably a chrome over wood model.

the 209931 is a 65 supraphonic.

the other drum with the large keystone badge is a newer supraphonic.

hope this helps some..

I hope the new band director knows how to tie snare cords so some kid doesn't have to shove a Santa pencil under them to bring them taut.

:-)

(my Acrolite is a school program retiree)
