Help identifying a premier snare Last viewed: 5 hours ago

I'm trying to help someone identify this snare. It's a premiere with the "Made In England" badge. Any ideas? I just want to know what it's worth and how old it is. I'm helping a new band director who has inherited a lot of drums. Hoping to sell some to buy other instruments he needs. Thanks.

Modern era chrome/steel drum . I'd say you'd be lucky to get $ 100 for it .

1963 Gretsch Progressive Jazz Champagne Sparkle
1967 Ludwig Super Classic Oyster Blue Pearl
Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute Burgundy Spkl. bop

Yes, looks like a 1036 that came with XPKs , but later 90s, because of the low-mass lugs. They seem to sell at around 100 to 125 and are great snares for a player.

1964 Ludwig Champagne Super Classic
1970 Ludwig Blue Oyster Super Classic
1977 Rogers Big R Londoner 5 ebony
1972/1978 Rogers Powertone/Big R mix ebony
60's Ludwig Supersensitive
Pearl B4514 COB snare ( the SC snare)
Pearl Firecracker
PJL WMP maple snare
Odds & Sods

Sabians, Paistes, Zildjians, Zyns, UFIPs, MIJs etc

I agree with funkypoodle, must be after 95, they changed the lugs of the xpk from the long ones to this style, as far as i know!

Even when you don`t get a lot of money for that drum, it is a very good snaredrumYes Sir
