I haven't heard of that brand before, but there are certain indications from the looks of them that they are what is known as a "stencil" drum set that was made in Japan ("MIJ") probably sometime in the 70's. They were usually made at one or two factories and then sent out to various distributors and labeled accordingly. Essentially, many of them were the exact same drums except with a different brand name on the badges.
That wrapped finish is a kind of tiger's eye that I have seen a few times on MIJ kits. Plus, the h-hat pedal looks like the one that came with my old Tempro kit (another MIJ).
There are experts here who will be able to tell you more than I.
I found this. Not much and I don't know if it's reliable.http://www.jedistar.com/jedistar%20drum%20dating_h.htm
Well, the lugs kinda look like Gretsch knockoffs. But, whether or not they say they were made in the US or not, I am suspicious of them being something else. I would have to see the interiors of the drums to better determine that.
Hi,Hamilton drum's were M.I.J. by Pearl made from 1969-1972..These drum's were 3 ply shell's with ring's..Copy of gretsch lug's on all drum's..Mikey
Seller told me she would call me back to come see the kit. She didn't call and pulled the ad. Oh well. Thanks for the help guys.
Gathered a few...Hamilton drums were made in USA. Not related to the Hamilton Stand Co - I emailed them to ask. Hamilton drums were also M.I.J. by Pearl made from 1969-1972.

Look guys, this debate needs clarification. Yes, there was a US maker under the name of Hamilton, however the drum in the link is indeed an MIJ drum, no question. If the company is in fact the same US company, then they were either A) in their last dying throes and were just buying the stencils trying to keep up with the market in an attempt to milk te market for it's last few dollars, or B) the company name was picked up in a takeover or bankruptcy hearing and the new owner decided to use the stencils as a mechanism to continue milking the Hamilton name for all they could get out of it before allowing it to die.
BUT, the red sparkle drum seen here:

Is in fact a MIJ drum, period. It is a Pearl made drum and there is absolutely no question about that. Real US made Hamilton drums looked nothing like this at all. They looked more like older marching drums, and that is all there is to this debate. I don't care who you emailed, the above mentioned example is not a US made drum.
