Gretsch Label ?

I saw this label today for the first time. Anyone here know some history behind it? It's on a rope-tension parade drum.

The 1941 catalog has "Colonial" drums. custom built to order. They were 16X14", Natural Mahogany, w/ white leather ears, & red white & blue striping on the hoops.

Those drums had a Round Badge it looks like. The tag/label I'm curious about is the one in my post above. Never seen it before. But thanks for your post and the photos of the drums -nice!

The drum is on eBay and does not have a Round Badge...just the Gretsch label. I copied the photo from the seller's eBay auction page.

I don't think I'd buy it I'm only curious about the label - never saw one like that before. The drum in the photos you provided does not seem to have this label.....I think I see a RB on the drum from the catalog drawrrings.
