Hi all!
New guy here and already I have a question...
Can someone in the know tell me whether 1940s and earlier Gretsch Broadkaster drums and the ones with tne "new" lug from the fifties onwards have the same hole spacing?
thanks,
tommi

Welcome, hopefully a Gretsch expert can help you out here.
Might be a longshot, but maybe there's one of your lugs for sale on ebay. I'm sure a seller would be happy to measure the hole spacing for you if asked.
I think you mean Rocket lugs, right? There are actually a bunch of them on eBay currently, message one of the sellers
Thanks guys,
Rocket lugs was what I meant. Actually I can measure their hole myself. Come to think of it, I shoulda googled the modern lug spacing :)
My 40s Broadkaster bass is a 24" and I was thinking about buying a 20" 50s/60s shell and fitting it with rocket lugs to match....
