I'm looking to build a new Gretsch kit for the Bellamy brothers 40th anniversary tour. Can anyone help me with the available factory finishes at that time? And sizes.
Gretsch 1976 wraps Last viewed: 1 hour ago
Thanks for the link but I'm having difficulty finding Gretsch finishes for 1976 specifically. Did they do a catalog that year? Or are the finishes a carry over from some previous year?

Have you tried contacting Gretsch artist relations directly? They could probably help with this.
Here is a link to the 1977 catalog on the Gretsch site:

I know it's not 1976, but you could see which colors overlap between the 1971 and 1977 catalogs.
What a cool project. Good luck and post any pictures.

Yes, please keep us updated. I love their tune "Let Your Love Flow". A great song that epitomizes mid-1970s pop rock. I think they went a bit more country later but what a great project for you. Good luck.
It looks like the following colors were used in both 1971 and 1977:

Silver Sparkle

Blue Sparkle

Gold Sparkle

Jet Black Nitron

Black Pearl

White Pearl

Plus the various natural woods too.

Just reviving this in the hopes that the OP may share a photo or two of the finished kit. Looks like the Brothers are currently on tour. A bunch load of dates. Curious to see what became of this project :)
Hey, not for nuthin... grodeestok...but is that you playing w/ Travis Tritt and Marty Stewart? On David Letterman?
I know I'm late to the party but just picked up a 1976 12 pc double 24", double headed tom kit in like-new condition...black pearl. One owner...never gigged. All original hardware...
