Good deed for the day. Last viewed: 4 hours ago

My neighbour across the road just bought his 8 year old son a 2nd hand

Sonic drive MIT kit for him to learn on. We had a BBQ at our place a while

back and I let Kye (the 8 yr old lad) have a hit on my Slingys, now he's fallen

in love with drums.

The neighbour came over this morning to ask my help with setting up the kit,

No probs! So I go over, set them up and do a quick tuning job and got the kit sounding

not too bad (for what they are), but the cymbals that came with the drums where absolute crap, so I went back home and dug out a set of Pearl CX cymbals, 14 hats,16 crash, and 20 ride, and said to the lad here you go they're all yours. Even though these pies are pretty ordinary they are streets ahead of the garbage can lids that came the kit.

The look on the boy's face was priceless! Saucer eyes and ear to ear grin,

worth a million Bucks!!

Good deed done and I feel warm inside!! flower

Cheers Stevo.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I love seeing young kids getting a kick out of things apart from computer

games, which is the norm these days, play the drums, you'll love it!!

I'm a great believer in karma, so hopefully this deed will go in my favour.

Some of the things I've done in the past will mean I'll

need all the brownie points I can get LoLoLoLo

Feel great about tho whole deal.

Cheers Stevo

Great story. Job well done!!

One day that young man will be old and pass them on to another younger. Telling the story of how he received them.

That's the fun, only caretakers of vintage gear.

Nothing special here but I like them.
