I know Kent is a US brand but this kit just screams Made In Japan. Maybe it's the knock off Slingerland copy hardware, but it's just got that vibe...

the last of the kent stuff was actually made in japan. not sure about these though..

I got the same bass drum construction (rail consolette, lugs..)

in a tiger black/champaign sparkle!

i take of the rail consolette (on picture) but it's the same!

For Shure it's a MIJ, no badges on mine... i think it's "riviera" or something like... made by Pearl probably?

finaly, i take a look on Star catalog and it can be one!

1972: good bass lugs, good consolette, good métal hoop, good color: "Gold agate Pearl".
