Gene Krupa Collection!!!! Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Okay, so last night I picked up a large collection of Gene Krupa related items from a women whose mother was friends with Gene as well as "high ranking" member in his fan club. I am extremely excited to dig through this collection but I wanted to post a few quick photos right off the bat. I will be sure to post more photos as I go through it all. There are tons of clippings, fan club memorabilia, letters, photos, books, magazines, etc., etc. Even a pair of drum sticks that Gene gave to her. No actual drums unfortunately, but still, I can barely contain my excitement.

My grandfather had a great influence on my musical tastes, and turned me onto Krupa while growing up. If only he were around to share in the excitement of going through all of it with me.

Be sure to check out the "Juke Box Jury Ballot" that Krupa filled out for some sort of performance evaluation. So cool!

WOW!!!!!! How cool is that. Thanks for sharing your collection and yes please post more when you can. Amazing to find things like this after all this time. GK was always #1 on my list. I'm on Krupa overload seeing all those cool things you have! :)
