Found A Rogers Bass Drum Last viewed: 11 hours ago

I was pulling all the old boxes and junk out of my little studio storage room this morning.

I have the original boxes for every piece of studio gear I ever bought in here.

I decided to purge them all and make some room.

I found guitar amps, my old double pedal, old pieces of electronic gear, a million new and used drum heads, computer parts, a Glockenspiel, all kinds of stuff/junk.

One of the things that I found was an old bass drum shell that an old friend of mine gave me years ago.

The only reason I got it was to use as a tunnel/woofer for recording my bass drum.

I never really paid it any attention.

It's been in this closet for at least 8 years.

I just thought it was a raggaly old Pearl bass drum.

Well I pulled it out of there and looked inside and see this Rogers Holiday label.

Now how many people are going to stick an old Rogers Holiday label inside there 90's model Pearl drums?

Not many.

The white wrap is definitely newer that the drum.

Some one buzzed the bearing edge a bit too.

It has re-rings and appears to be a six ply.

It is 20" x 14".

I don't see the 20" Holiday option in the catalogs.

Any thoughts?

So, the question is:

Is this thing worth saving or is it junk?

Nice shell and Dayton Ohio. The label inside still very nice. Holes can be filled, new wrap (?), clean up and parts and it's a 20" someone will enjoy if your selling. I can see the 3 little nail foldover witness marks where the Rogers script once was. Right below the bass mount holes in your pic. Looks like the real deal?

60's but no idea the exact year they went to Dayton, mid 60's?. Jack, Dan or someone will know. Mine are Cleveland very early 60's. Dayton was after Cleveland if I have it right. Then to Fullerton CA later on.
