Beautiful kit!
I agree that Ambassadors would be a great choice for heads on these drums. You can never go wrong with Ambassadors.
But since you asked: I have Aquarian American Vintage heads on my Ludwigs, and I love them. They have a bit of a warmer, rounder sound, which is great on vintage drums. They also have a cool "yellowed" look, and the coating on them is very durable--I've been playing these heads for months and you can barely see any stick marks. They're also a bit oversized, so they fit easily on vintage drums. (Some vintage drum shells are a bit larger in diameter than modern drums, and so Ambassadors and other modern drum heads can be a tight fit. If you're looking for the oversized heads, make sure you buy American Vintage heads. Aquarian also makes a series called Modern Vintage, which are the same material but are not oversized.)
The Aquarians are a bit more expensive than Ambassadors, but I like them a lot and am glad I sprung for them.
Enjoy that kit, and have fun learning.
