Finally wrapping up some projects I have been working on during the year. This one has been a long time coming. It's a 1940's Leedy Utility Snare that was pretty beat down. The previous owner coated it in white paint. (water based thank god). Thanks to all the members who helped me out with suggestions on how to refinish this project and special thanks to Jeremy (member name Potsy 24) and Jim (Auto.pilot) for taking some extra time to send me some great tips. Here is the before and after !

Soaked the strainer and rusted out parts in Dawn and then polished everything metal with Cape Cod Cloth's. Stripped the paint with a quick hit of Citristrip. (Paint literally came off on the brush without waiting). Sanded the shell to 220, Washed with Mineral Spiits and the applied Minwax Wipe On Poly. Repeated this process 4 times then sanded to 440 for 3 more coats. After 48 hours waxed it with Minwax. Member Potsy24 was great in helping out with the wood refinish.
