you will definately love the sound! i have had a lot of snare drums in the last twenty years including a high dollar premier, but my january 19, 1970 supraphonic is by far my most prized and played. (sometimes i get the other snares out and play a song or two with them just so they don't get lonely)

She cleaned up nicely and sounds fantastic (not that I'm surprised). The other one is a pitted Supra from hell that has been in my possession for years. It had always been a "later" project and mostly an inspiration to get a nice clean one. I spent a bit of time with my COB Powertone and the Supra side by side yesterday. I tuned them as close as I could to compare the sonic nuances.The Powertone is a little louder, has a little more bottom end but also is more aggressive in the high end. The Supra has a nice throaty low mid and that crack.
