I WAS referring to the drum. I've always referred to it as "She", in part I guess because, like a good woman, she's stuck with me through thick and thin for over 30 years. That ought to at least earn "it" a title - she went a lot further with me than my first wife. :)

As for my daughter - I was fondly referring to the past - she's now about to turn 17 and I did this restoration to be able to pass it down to her - a much better player at 16 than I was at that age!! And someone who will truly appreciate it, and who will (hopefully) someday teach her own kids on it with "This was your Grandpa's favorite drum".

Thanks for the compliments all around - they truly mean a great deal to me coming from the best restorers and authorities on the planet.

I'll be needing your help with my next mystery - a (possibly) hodge-podge 50's RK Student that I put on the operating table today. Pics coming soon.

Oh, I thought you just had a new baby, lol. Well then congrats on your 17 years of raising a young woman. I raised two, 20 and 22 now, and girls can be tough. Very cool that she is into drumming. My daughter did try the drums but ended up playing trombone in 6th grade. She now plays in her college jazz band, symphonic band and orchestra. We are so proud of both our girls.

Thank you!
