Fibes report. Last viewed: 1 day ago

Some of you know I have a Fibes kit in Bonham size's, except for the bass drum, its only a 24. A few weeks ago I purchased all new heads, Remo coated emperor batters, coated ambassador reso's on the toms, Power stroke 3 coated bass drum with an original Fibes smooth white with logo resonant head. These drums have been sitting around for a long time, all I had was some clear pinstripes (old ones) and it never sounded that great.

Well, I have them set up at my band practice place with my supraphonic and I tell you what, they rock! I love them, cant get enough of them. As of today they are by far the best sounding drums I have. Now I still need to outfit my Rogers XP8's with new heads so its not a fair comparison yet. But they blow away my Zebra 3ply Luddy's that I play every day. Must be the fiberglass shell and that stainless steel wrap making them sound so good. Makes me want to get an all stainless steel kit someday, I hear those are the best.

Thank you!

I'd love to play those.

Side question: I always wondered: is the "i" in Fibes logo a firecracker? A bicycle tire air pump?

I should know this but I don't :)

Jeff - Next kit should be an all-fiberglass kit! Keep your eyes open for Blaemires, a J&M kit or even a Vistalite set. I have a feeling the sound you're digging is coming from the fiberglass shells. Fiberglass drums are powerful sounding drums. Enjoy them! Great sizes.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
