I have three COB Dyna's but no wood shelled. What were you verifying or looking for with the wrap and seam?

There should be characteristic tool marks on the edge of the wrap. Also, the seam has a certain look to it; new seams can be spotted pretty easily. And, the way the grommet is sealed inside makes a difference as well.

All of these things could also point to a simple rewrap job, but added together with other details can indicate if the drum is a fake or not.
