I bought an item a few weeks ago,and never did hear from the seller(I paid him 12 hrs after the auction was over). 8 days after I paid him I get a message, through EbAy that the item was shipped. Is 8 days a little long to wait to ship an item. He didnt even bother to send a message .Is it me being persnickity or is the seller a sh#thead? I normally give good feedback be this guy has worn my patience thin. V

Save your energy until it arrives and you see the condition. Things happen to delay shipping. A good item will make you forget the delayed shipping.
You should be able to get a delivery confo # from seller. when I sell on ebay I always give the buyer a tracking #. I started doing this last year after a friend of mine sold an item and the buyer claimed he never got the item. according to pay pal rules, if the seller cannot provide a tracking # he has to refund the buyer in full. If you dont hear from the seller, I would report the item as missing, the buyer is protected on this stuff.

Some sellers are dodgey with shipping times.
I waited more than a month for a book that was advertised as 10 days max.
