I picked up this drum in St. Louis around 10 years ago when I was running a percussion dept. at a music store. I believe it to be one of the first Duplex snare drums. Emile Boulanger started the company in St. Louis in 1880. This has the Collar hooks wood hoops and I think (aluminum) shell. 5" X 12". The drum is in great shape. I believe these are original heads that have seen little play. I also have the drum sticks with Brass ends and a ornate drum key.
I cannot find any duplex markings on the drum. Would appreciate any help finding out when drum was made and how much it might be worth.
Thanks,Gary
