Hmmm... Don't know his real name, we always just called him "sticks". :)

Just kidding of course... This will be fun to try to figure out.

Wild guess... 1949 Leedy Spartan bass drum matched up the Leedy Nifty snare.

I'm trying to date those glasses frames to start searching for the drummer. Love that drum head art... the little guy is in straight jacket in a box. I wonder if that is an old cartoon character?? Mind Blowi

So 49 matches up nicely with Lucite glasses frames... Clapping Happy2

i don't post all that often but wow! as far as old photographs go i like this one. that reso kick head is awesome. the pic is screaming 50,s jazz. but what i really like is the ghost image in the background. old film cameras can malfunction sometimes and double expose the same frame of film. many cameras also offered the option of double exposure for artistic reasons. if you look closely you can see a ghost image of a mans head and shoulders shot exposed over the drummer. i believe this is definitely a mistake but being a lover of drums and photography and old prints. gotta say its the balls.

Great eyes... so obvious but I didn't see it. Interesting, looks like ghosted image of maybe two framed pictures on a wall.

I think tubwompus got it.

Check out the angle Specs sets his snare.

The bass head graphic reminds me of a drawing style I've seen before, perhaps a New Yorker cartoonist.
