The reason I'm asking, myself and my good bud M layton are trying to figure this out? question....who here has a 59 catalog? not sure if ive ever seen a 58 catalog. i ask this for a reason. the 57 catalog shows 5.5 x14 drums like these as a barrett deems model if i recall correctly. in the 60 catalog, the 5x14 jazz festival snares are first listed. so, if anyone has a 59 catalog, what did they call their 5.5 or 5x14 8 lugger with p83?

Does any one have a 1958 or 1959 ludwig catalog?

good info and thanks for it. the 57 wfl catalog didnt call them jazz festivals yet. we knew the 60 ludwig catalog did. we now know that the 59 catalog indeed lists them as jazz festivals as well. fitting time to do so as well as i feel jazz was experiencing some of its best music at that time.
