YEARS ago out of NSMD, I grabbed a 20" Turkish K that was located in Moncton...
I was first caller......a guy from Ohio was trying to get it too....but was second caller....
Seems like it was $350-400.......those were the days!

Whoa, Moncton? That's where those sets are? We visit my wife's relatives in Fredericton every August. Just a day's drive from Connecticut. Last year, we stopped in Meductic to tour the Sabian factory (that's a great experience). Even my wife was fascinated watching all those shiney cymbals beings stamped, lathed, and polished. Maybe I can "bargain" with her to venture to Moncton if that Rogers set is still available.Mike C
Unfortunately he will be moving to Seattle really soon and needs to "get rid of them" fast. Maybe her family can swing by for you? My dad is in Fredericton, but I have asked so much of him in recent years that I just can't ask him for this one. Bless him!
I think Wayne wants the Yammies, so I,m glad you are more interested in the Rogers kit. I don't want to start a drum war, just spread the love! Group Hug
PS: If either of you guys grab these kits I want to to see pics of either restoration jobs or pics of them on a gig! And stop at the Irving station in Meductic on the way by. There was the nicest little old lady that is from a whole family of drummers and really knows her stuff! Gotta go gig now!
Save your money, time, and gas. When you can swing it, buy a no excuses nice kit that. Won't cost you much more.

I'm going to grab a 60's Dynasonic locally instead, thus saving time and gas. I was really close to going on a suicidal road trip to get these drums on Thursday night, because I am ridiculously impulsive some times! I had to be back for a gig on Friday afternoon and it was a 20 hour round-trip. Turns out that the band leader called a last minute general the next morning, so I would have screwed myself big time! Of all my bands, he's my biggest employer too, so the last thing I want to do is rub him the wrong way.
