Not drum related, but, I signed up to do the lung association stair climb today, 180 stories makes it one of the top 5 highest stair climbs in the world. I never did anything like this before, not only did I finish, but I came in the top 10% overall. I was passing up people in their 20's 30's 40's...crazy, not bad for a 60 year old grandpa, pays to work out everyday, the weird thing I feel fine, no cramps, no muscle issues................hell I may even go to the gym today LOL NOT!!!Excited.
Did something insane today
70's Pearl Fiberglass Ivory

Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Great to have that stamina at our age. In 1961, my friend Hank and I ran to the top of the Washington Monument. I don't remember how many stages (floors), but we were only 10 or 11 years old.
Good for you congrats!!

What, is this an old guys site?
After climbing like that, you probably could play that octopus kit that was on here a while back.
Awesome and congrats! I hope to live and still be running at age 111. And drumming too. My '63 club date will be 113 at that point and probably still kicking butt!
We'll see...
Hello, slingerland!
That's great to hear about your feat! Drumming is a fantastic cardio workout! I'm an old-timer too. I go to the gym about five times a week. I can still press 300 pounds and my upper arms are near 20 inches. Often after a long jam session, I feel it more than an hour at the gym lifting heavy weights! Your story is good to read about, sir! Keep going! Age is only a matter of perspective.
