OK, this is not really drum related, but I want to find out if anyone else watched this concert last night. The reason I'm asking is because right before Paul McCartney and David Grohl were suppose to preform, the station I was watching went to a commercial and then right to some bogus wrestling show. I was so ****ed, I watched the whole concert in anticipation of seeing McCartney. Did this happen to anyone else, or was it just my local station acting like morons.
Concert For Sandy Relief Last viewed: 10 hours ago
Same thing happened here at 12:30 A
It was on other channels though,so just scrolled up a bit...
They played till 1:20 A
I hate to say it, but he was really on too. Did NOT do the usual Hey Jude / Let it Be "close out the concert" setlist. The "Nirvana" song was really fun actually.
I did cringe when he smacked the hell out of his vocal mic with the headstock of his 1 of 4 ever made LEFT handed late 50s Sunburst Les Paul. :)

I'm sure it will be on again...
My assumption is that they paid for a certain block of satellite time. Once that block is up you are off the air. As I understand it, the concert ran over quite a bit which is a huge problem when a satellite is involved.
Very proud owner of a new Blaemire Snare 6.5 x 14 made by Jerry Jenkins "Drumjinx"
It's more like, that particular station switched over because sports programming and advertising pay a lot of the bills at the station. When it was time for wrestling... they switched over! They had to, their audience members would have started hurling curses, beer cans and fried pork rinds at the TV from the couch if they didn't put their wrasslin' on.

Really? I thought Eric Clapton's trio was the hightlight of the evening, at least what I saw. I liked that there was not a zillion guitars, keyboads, percussion and back up singers. They just jammed! Steve Jordon and the bass player were spot on and his kit was so cool.
As far as Kanye West, well, you know what rap rhymes with.
