Hey John, Obviously, this was a very emotional show for Scott, David, and I. We got word that Jerry passed away just as we were finishing our set-up of the booth on Friday. None of us wanted to be there. The show went well, as our drums always speak for themselves. All the kits were sold, as well as a few of the snares. I am soooo proud of the job Scott did on building these drums. This was the first year that I had no part in any of the builds, so when we were unboxing them, it was like Christmas for me. I fell in love with this white marine pearl type finish that Scott finished in a gloss! Eye Ball

Greg,

Glad your booth did well (Gary is thrilled with his kit - sounded good!); Jerry would be proud I'm sure. Great to see you, even under the circumstances. Take care & hang in there!

I drove down go the show Friday from Toronto with two other drum enthusiasts. We had a great time. I picked up the pictured Classic Maple Birdseye prototype from BunE and Randy Rainwater, grabbed a solid walnut shell from Eric Sooy Blackswamp percussion and a particularly nice 19" Amedia Flat ride. They also had a gorgeous 20" sizzle ride but passed as I was already over my planned budget for the show. I was tempted by a 22/13/16 with matching 5 x 14 Gretsch USA Custom Espresso Burst kit that was in the consignment area. I already own a 20/12/14 with 6.5 matching snare so that would have been a nice addition.

The best two sounding sets I played at the show were the Jenkins Martin silver sparkle kit and a Gretsch Birdland Kit copy by Mlasko Custom drums. Both were outstanding drums and really well made.

Oh, good thanks for letting me know, I feel like an idiot for messing that up but I guess it easy with these screen names. Anyway, ya it was good meeting for sure.

Thank you!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Assembling a drum kit at the show was a cool idea! Did you get a lot of guys standing around kibitzing, watching you work? :D

John

Too many great drums to list here!
