I don't think the "chrome" on the plastic model is real chrome...I would think a chrome colored paint....But the coke/bumper thing is true....I used it on a bicycle and was amazed.

I`ve heard that coke is an ideal rust remover for chrome.Also makes sense to use diet coke as it has less sugar,thus less sticky than regular coke.Not much rust on my drum parts but i`ll try this on some other things-would be much more gentle than harsh cleaning solvents too.
