I most usually don't get too involved with the CL/eBay stuff, but it is after all, a Slingerland Buddy Rich #80N in WMP.. and, seeing as how you queried John... ,$1750.00 for a "shell pack" but MISSING the snare drum isn't too bad, but I would think that any self respecting Buddy freak is going to WANT the snare AND the correct hardware as well, and that will set one back close to another $1000.00 or so, maybe a little more contingent on the snare drum. Figure an outlay of $3000.00 complete. Not too bad, but for that amount, one could probably find a complete set... eventually. For just the drums though.. ( including the Gretsch snare ) .. decent!Tommyp
Spot on as usual Tommy, the only thing that I would gripe( and it's really not a gripe BTW) is we all know that the Buddy 80N's were sold as 22"x14".
If it were me I'd tend to hold out for the 24"x14" a la Buddy whether it was his Rogers kit or Ludwig, Vox...ect ect that he played that was his configuartion as we all know.
So the sets that would have the 24's as an option are scarcer to come by and more expensive.
Soooooo, all in all, a good decent price for a nice kit knowing that all the other collateral stuff as Tommy points out will run you some extra shake if you want to make it a "true" Buddy set up.
But it has the little things like the extra set of spurs on the bass, so that's a plus.
