Bottom heads old Luddy's Last viewed: 11 hours ago

i usually run G1 clears on my newer drums but i dont feel these are the right choice on 60's ludwigs. I am going to run Remo Ambassador coated on the top.

Any suggestions on bottom . Would prefer not to go clear

Single ply coated top and bottoms on my old Ludwigs. Using Ludwig weathermasters and they sing.

Single ply coated top and bottom works great. Two ply coated top if you want a little darker sound and more durability.

I will go with the coated ambassador on bottom. Not going to dabble in new experiments when we know what works well. Thanks for your opinions. !!

Aquarian clear Classics bottom, Fiberskin Dip batters on these. And they sound incredible! 3 ply, clear interior. They look really cool with the oak grain, too....
