I had the opportunity to play at a local Irish restaurant/pub last night. Wasn't sure which kit to bring out. It took me awhile before the obvious hit me: Black Friday = Oyster Black Pearl. Dah! I was assuming we'd be playing to an empty house, being the Friday after Thanksgiving. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the crowd that turned out. We all had a great time. The excellent food and drinks that were thrown in the deal were like icing on the cake.

Yes, OS, when in doubt dress in black. That looks darkly sweet. Love it!

Thanks, Chris! And.......I actually DID dress in black. I normally coordinate my outfits with the particular kit I'm using for the night. With that in mind I better NEVER take my Luddy Red Psych kit out to gig (lol)!

HA! Good point!
I wonder how many peeps out in the crowd could appreciate what a great old vintage drum kit it was that they were listening to.
Black on black eh? That set-up and those cloths will get you through the front door of any Mob joint in N.Y.C.! lol Good call on the choice.
John
Right on!
That kit looks great!
...and a guitar playing friend of mine would psyched to see that Peavey amp up there as well.
He loves them, and apparently takes a lot of guff from other guitar players who don't quite agree.
Beautiful kit! So classy looking.
