Big R marching snare I.D. - HELP! Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Just picked one like this up - but mine is in solid blue. It has the gray inner w/ re-rings and the dynasonic "bridge"

My questions are: are these common? Rare? Worth anything?

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

In colors, somewhat rarer. But, anything could be ordered. By 75 when the Big R period started, drums were coming out that had higher tension capabilities, and very soon after, Kevlar heads. Rogers was also more expensive. You don't see many marchers from this period. They are out there, but not really common, just not.. rare.

Thanks as always, Ploughman!

The only "issues" are the Big R logo is starting to peel off - and the lever on the strainer has snapped off. The rest is clean! Great chrome and shell inner and bearing edges are mint. I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep it, as I have a LOT of marching snares at the moment. What do you think a fair starting price [considering the "issues"] would be? Isn't the dynasonic bridge itself pretty costly?

Nylon on the snares? Not so desired.

What is the serial number? Is the badge separating from its own backing? (early number problem, D five digit numbers only) or coming off the drum?

Value also determined by size. It is 14" or 15"?
