Best Grommets To Get For 70's Slingerland Rewrap Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Loading...

Hi there.

I am going to pick up a 70's Slingerland rewrap that needs badges. I have badges, but Id like to put new grommets in. I am wondering which length/diameter are the ones to get for 3 ply shells?

I also have a 5 ply kit that was re-wrapped that needs proper grommets. Which ones work best for the thicker 5 py shells?

I just want to make sure I am getting the right stuff here!

Thanks,

Adam

Hey JJ when are you going to have those grommets made and how much are they?

Thanks!

Precision Drum Company has what you need. I made the mistake and ordered the 3/8" ones. They were too loose. Reorder the 7/16" ones. Perfect fit.

Does that big flared lip get bent over when you install those eyelets from Precision though? It just looks weird....

And they work great.... get the short ones for 3-ply shells.

To answer that. No. There not long enough to get the factory roll over.
