Bass drum ID please

I picked this up about 5 yrs ago in an antiques/collectables shop on Vancouver Island - BC Canada. The owner had no history on it.

I removed all the hardware and the shell seems like it's that typical very soft (Lauan? Philippian Mahogany? basswood?). I can easily press the shell out-of-round. I do like the sparkle wrap. I've never seen these lugs anywhere else.

The drum is an odd size - 25 inch diameter. I tucked calfhide on some wood hoops. The drum has beautiful full tone.

Has anyone here seen these lugs and t-rods on another drum?

There's not identification anywhere on the drum or hardware.

The first photo shows the drum in the Collectables shop before I bought/rescued? it.

Here's a shot of the Grommet on the shell and the tom hanger hardware. I wouldn't want to hang much on this shell.

No idea what it might be but my first impression from looking at the fittings is that it's not a MIJ set. This hardware looks unique and the MIJ stuff typically tried to copy the hardware of the American companies. But, it's hard to say anything for sure. Looks cool regardless.

That lug has been here before, that grommet too. Bad news is I don`t recall when or where.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

I posted this when I picked it up a few years ago. I'm posting again on the chance new eyes may be able to help identify.

I had a single-tension WMP bass drum with those claws and faucet-type t-rod handle. It also had the fancy grommet, but no other markings. I can tell you that mine was MIJ, as there was Japanese newspaper in between the wrap and the shell!

Sorry, I don`t have anymore info for you, but, that drum is cool!! I like the T-rods!!

The inner ply has vertical grain which would suggest MIJ decent...I don`t think it is though...

Cheers

Maybe I'll remove the wrap and see if it has some "Japanese newspaper" inside haha. Wouldn't that be crazy..........
