Anyone interested in a Kent Resto project? Last viewed: 1 day ago

I have a 66 kent in orange sparkle, 13,15,22 and 14x5 all parts included, some warping of BD hoops. wrap in excellent condition. I started this project have all the parts but just have too many half started projects and not enough time and space.

Someone convince me to finish this, sell as is, or sell after finishing.

Thoughts?

Hmmm... Kent's have always eluded me. Every time I find one, something happens to it before I can pick it up.

PM me please.

I have that same snare, in the same finish.

Someone should fix the kit up if it is all there. You, the next guy or whoever.

Kent was definitely an underdog in `60s American drum making. Not to imply that they were as high in quality as Ludwig, Gretsch, and the others.

Did Kent ever make any sets that were considered almost "top of the line"?

I think I am going to fix this up since I don't think I'm going to find a buyer soon. I just don't know what people do with a "collector" kit, so to speak. I gig with all my kits but don't think I can gig with this Kent.

How much for it as is? Could you post some pics of the interiors?

Best,

Hi mcdrummer,

Thats a nice set you have there for restoration! I myself have several dozen projects that are not finished, (not drums though) I myself have gotten rid of a few projects in the past only later to regret it later on. Especially when I knew its value after it was restored and I kicked myself for quite awhile. But reciently I got luckey and got another project that was the same as I had gotten rid of, only it needs every part to restore it I only have a frame to work with, But as soon as I have all the parts I need Ill have it back together in no time flat.

Just weigh out the pros & cons of keeping it or getting rid of it, but if you want to get rid of it just drop me a line and let me know what your looking to get for it......Rob

Spend a weekend on them and get some sweat equity built up....:)

It's great all the foil badges are there....a big plus....they seem to get damaged or go missing more often than not
