While on vacation in OH last week I stopped by a local music store and saw this Premier snare drum sittin there. I bought it for $75. I believe it is a Model 2000 from the late 70's?? It has the dual action throwoff and the patented "Flobeam" inside. Was I taken, or did I find a little gem? Thanks!

That is exactly what you have and it was a good deal. Oh I'm not a premier guru but I've owned the same model you've shown.

I would be very pleased to find that snare for that price. Their chrome job was the best in the business.

Thanks for all the great feedback! After this purchase I did some searching online and found a person that was selling a pair of just the strainer wires for which he was asking just over $60 for them! It's nice to know that I've found a good deal once in a while. Any time I travel somewhere I always take time to visit any local music stores because you never know what you may find there.
