Another Ebay Question Last viewed: 14 minutes ago

To solve the cry-baby shipping issue, I offer free shipping on all my auctions and simply set my starting bid at a level that pays for most if not all of the shipping.

I don't pay ebay one dime for pictures. I only upload one free picture in the section that allows a dozen or so, then add a TON of pictures in my listings, which is free. Just use photobucket.com and paste their links to your ebay description. How can anyone argue condition when they have had an opportunity to view up to 50 high quality pictures of the same item?

My :2Cents:

I don't know if this has been brought up yet but save all the messages and file a feedback extortion case http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-extortion.html

From what it sounds you as the seller went above and beyond the terms of the official ebay sale by providing, at the buyers request, alterations to the listing in the form of shipping hand handling.

Also,

For item not as described cases, sellers may protect themselves from losing a case if they provide clear documentation that the item was described accurately and consistently throughout the listing and all associated communication.

For example, cases may be resolved in the seller's favor when the seller provides documentation that:

1 the buyer complains that the item is used, not new, and the listing and all associated communication clearly and consistently describes the item as used, or

2 a defect in the item was correctly described by the seller, or

the item was properly described, but the buyer didn't want it after they received it, or

3 the item was properly described but did not meet the buyer's expectations, or

4 the item has minor scratches and was listed as used condition.

looks like you have lines 3 and 4 in the bag,

But also said that the photos would NOT show the cracks or dents. He also said that the box i sent them in was fine.

Update: So today i get this email from them--Hi, one of the cymbals i received has denting and a lathing crack that was not in your ad.I'd like to get this resolved. So far i've been told in no uncertain terms to take a hike.I don't appreciate that at all.If thiscan't be reselved in a fair way soon.I will have to give you bad feedback{which can be revised thereafter if iam not treated fairly,so dont worry}This is running past the point of my feedback protection and something must be done to protect me from getting stuck with a cracked and dented cymbal.I hope you understand....I have like i said told him to email me photos of the cymbal but he told he that the photos Would not show the dents and cracks. The box was in fine condition it was ot the problem....So what should i do with this P/I/T/A ebayer?? I will post their ebay I.D. when this is over so you will all know NOT to sell to them.....Mikey

I would not give a partial refund or a full refund. He can't produce any evidence to show a defect or blemish. If your worried about the feedback you have a strong case against him. The worst that can happen, he leaves negative feedback and you get it removed.

Open a case against him!

Ebay may have changed the way they handle cases, before you could just write a message and post the number. It seems you have to "wait" for ebay to ask you for it. Otherwise they will look themselves.

I will call them tomorrow and get an answer for ya. I have some free time tomorrow as my last final was today! Party

How is the case going so far? Did ebay tell you the next step?

Mikey - it's easy bro... Go to the page with the email, then...

1. Under 'Edit' (located at the top of the window) click on: 'Select All.' Once the entire email is highlighted, then...

2. Again, under 'Edit' click on; 'Copy'

3. Write your email to Ebay and somewhere in the body of the message, insert the copy of the other guys email by...

4. Again, under 'Edit' click on; 'Paste.'

You'll do it faster than it'll take to read my directions. Easy stuff.

Of course, you can avoid all that by simply following Oldschool's good advice by including the message ID number! It'll be on the guys email to you. Save all the copy/paste hassle.

Good luck Mikey, hope it all comes out in your favor. Man, who needs these kind of headaches? Money never comes easy bud, you always have to work for it one way or another. This guy is making you earn every penny.
